Senator Meyer, Chair, moved and asked unanimous consent for the adoption of the State Affairs Senate Committee Substitute offered on page 2410. Senator Gardner objected, then withdrew her objection. There being no further objection, SENATE CS FOR CS FOR SPONSOR SUBSTITUTE FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 44(STA) "An Act relating to campaign expenditures and contributions; relating to the per diem of members of the legislature; relating to limiting gifts by 2018-05-08 Senate Journal Page 3005 lobbyists to legislators and legislative employees; requiring a legislator to abstain from taking or withholding official action or exerting official influence that could benefit or harm an immediate family member or certain employers; requiring a legislator to request to be excused from voting in an instance where the legislator may have a financial conflict of interest; and providing for an effective date" was adopted. Senator Micciche moved and asked unanimous consent the bill be considered engrossed, advanced to third reading and placed on final passage. Without objection, it was so ordered.
